Badbadnotgood Jam Sessions with Tyler The Creator

Tyler The Creator

BBNG(badbadnotgood) are a 3 piece “Jazz Fusion” band from… it doesn’t matter, because they’re rad and can be from Timbuktu for all I care!! Recently BBNG had a little jam session with Tyler The Creator from Odd Future, and it went really good for a rap jam sesh. Tyler rapped out Seven for the first set, and jammed out Fish on the piano for the second. Let me just say that, It’s really refreshing to see a rapper with actual talent perform live and play a musical instrument! While watching these videos I noticed that BBNG used some Death Grips tracks on both vids which is really cool, and I just wanted to point that out so the grips can get some recognition ;) I bet you’d like to see these sessions! Wouldn’t you?! Well here it is… Oh and don’t forget to subscribe to the Youtube channel when you’re done, for some more BBNG vids!

Song Of The Day - Macaulay McCulkin by The Fall Of Troy

The Fall Of Troy 2005Doppelganger

From left to right: Tim Ward(bass, vocals), Thomas Erak(guitar, vocals), and Andrew Forsman(drummer)

The Fall Of Troy have been broken up for a little over a year now and their sophomore LP Doppelganger released on August 16th, 2005, still manages to sellout on their website not even a couple months later from being reissued through Equal Vision Records sometime around August 2011. Although they are not everybody’s cup of tea due to the “screamo” aspect of the music, they were still a very talented band from the creative/experimental instrumentation perspective. If I absolutely had to muster up some sort of genre for them I’d have to say they’re along the lines of some semi progressive/experimental/hardcore/punk rock band. They were merely a 3 piece band but you wouldn’t be able to tell just by listening to the music. The Fall Of Troy recorded Doppelganger at the tender age of 19! That’s pretty good for being as technical as they are, huh? The best part about listening to the Doppelganger LP

Song Of The Day!

Song Of The Day Beetles

Stella Mozgawa(drums),Jenny Lee Lindenberg(bass,vocals), Theresa Wayman(guitar,vocals), And Emily Kokal(guitar,vocals).

Warpaint is an “art rock” based band(according to the wiki) from Los Angeles. The band consists of four women who can jam like no ones business (The names are mentioned below the picture from left to right). The song of the day “Elephants” off the Exquisite Corpses EP, was recorded from 07-08 and released on October 6th 2009 with some help by the Froosh(John Frusciante of The Red Hot Chili Peppers), Josh Klinghoffer (also a member of the present Red Hot Chili Peppers lineup) and Shannyn Sossaman(drummer at the time). I must say that no one should overlook Warpaint, because they are very amazing musicians and deserve everybody’s attention. Their psychedelic sound is what really captured my interest about this band, hopefully you like the song and check out their latest album The Fool released October 25, 2010. Enjoy a stream of the song of the day!

Tune Yards - Whokill

Whokill

http://www.4ad.com/releases/21223

Released April 19th, 2011 on 4AD records, WHOKILL has been under the radar for awhile. I’ve come across people that pass on the greatness that is Tune Yards, simply because they think Merill Garbus is unattractive or that she’s weird. It really saddens me to know that people are gonna be so judgmental of a band simply because of aesthetics. The music is great, optimistic, upbeat, and uplifting. If you want something cool to listen to, then you’ll check out WHOKILL, the latest LP of the Tune Yards. Below is a Music Video of the song Bizness off the WHOKILL LP. Above is a link to purchase the album in any format you damn well please.

The club scene is a popular scene amongst the people of the urban jungle. When it starts to get dark, the velvet ropes begin to unhook as the flock of party animals waltz into the club of their choice. If you live in San Antonio, Texas and tend to be a frequent at the Duo Lounge, then you are no stranger to DJ Kaoss. Spinning the hits whether it’s house music or hip hop, Kaoss gets the crowd moving when it’s time to get silly. Just released a couple days ago, DJ Kaoss threw down a mix for the party animals to groove to. It’s about 58 minutes long and ready to download on Soundcloud. Take a listen below, go like the facebook page above, and follow the music waves of DJ KAOSS.
